Designed under the Modernist Series, prototypes of which were shown at the 1957 NAMM show, the Moderne was originally intended to be the sibling of the Flying V and Explorer but never made it off of the launch pad. This pickguard will fit Gibson's "New" Moderne of which captures the look, feel and sound of the original, and puts it in the hands of players today. These new versions feature either black or tortoiseshell pickguards only from the Gibson factory - our replacement pickguard template offers many extra colour variations to select from.

This pickguard is made from gold mirror - a clear acrylic material measuring .118" / 2.99mm thick with a 45 degree bevelled edge. The gold reflective layer is attached to the underside of the acrylic, preventing it from getting scratched or dented once it is fitted to the instrument.
